To the people who look at me and judge my 3 rambunctious boys. - TopicsExpress

To the people who look at me and judge my 3 rambunctious boys. Do you know how challenging it is to raise young sons born all one year apart? Boys who have more energy than a well fueled rocket (times 3?) Do you not see how their energy resonates amongst one another, especially when NOT given daily doses of sugar, cartoons and video games to calm and sedate them? Yes. They like to wrestle, play loudly, climb on furniture, trees and anything tall and dangerous... Just know that I am trying. I am trying to hold three hands with my two arms while rushing to school. Im trying to watch three kids with my two eyes when they are happily running at the park. Im trying to be the best mother I can be knowing that each day I am falling short of who I want to be...and who I hope they will become. While you may feel they lack discipline and guidance, I wish you would not judge them based on the times you rarely see them. I wish you saw them quietly complete their workbooks daily or practice to skillfully kick a soccer ball. I wish you saw their hurt when watching a bully hit their brother at a birthday party and they stood up to defend him. I wish you saw them obediently put on their pajamas, brush their teeth and tidy up their toys before bedtime. I wish you saw them pray. I never knew the tremendous task coupled with the constant criticism mothers undergo when they choose to fulfill the toughest job in the world in becoming a parent. I am not perfect, I am striving. And with that said, I hope you are too.
