To the person driving the Black Trail Blazer on 6th St. Yesterday who hit the dog and did not stop to help. Shame on you. Here is the message from High-school kids who did stop and help this dog. His name WAS Buddy, and you were speeding. To the person who hit that poor dog: Let me tell you something. I cant believe that you would hit that dog and just drive off. You were going 45 in a 25... I had my friend slam on his brakes, and with the car not being at a complete stop, i jumped and ran in the street to this dog.. He was twitching and shaking in the road.. I picked up the 60lb dog and brought him to a nearby house where i called the owners on his tag. The woman was crying so hard when i told her the news. I waited 45 minutes for her to arrive. It took all my strength to hold this dog in my arms because was shaking so bad. It broke my heart so much seeing him trying to move and he couldnt. After a long 45 minutes she finally came to the house where i had buddy. She looked at me and kept thanking me over and over again. She told me that he is very old and had a seizure and was going blind, and she let him out to go the bathroom and she couldnt find him anywhere. When i carried him to the car, she came up to me crying so hard and gave me the biggest hug and said that i saved his life. I feel like such a good person right now. As for you, i hope you feel so bad, and will have to live with that for the rest of your life. The girl said he might be okay. I went out of my way to help this poor old guy, and i wish you would of done the same. If you would of been going the speed limit more than likely you wouldnt of hit him. I am so happy that i helped him, and i hope and pray that he will make it.
