To the pompous professor who- over a truly discouraging decade ago- insisted that black & white, alone, do not mix in the art world (The hell... racist much?;P) and those who suggested that I may *never* be able to do certain physical and occupational tasks ever again (at least, not as well as I once did) with or without treatment and extensive therapy: Tell it to old-timey movies, and just about any competent doctor worth his own salt. Im doing just fine, thank you very much. I can hold a pencil, even stand up to go sharpen it... I can create something out of nothing, however rudimentary that *something* might appear in its early stages. The only difference, really, is that it takes me much longer than it used to get things out of my head and onto paper, and Im finally beginning to be okay with that particular reality. Never to late to relearn a skill-set or two, after all. Unless youre dead. ... Might even make me better for my choice of troubles someday.
