To the residents and community members of Ebb and Flow FN....firstly I would like to congratulate the New Chief and Council of our great community on their election, good job. I wish nothing but the very best for them. Secondly, I would like to apologize to the membership that have asked me to visit them and wasnt able to make there. In all honesty, over the past few weeks Ive been sick, with terrible back pain, no energy, fatigue, nausea and difficulty in walking and sitting. The past 2 -3 weeks Ive been to multiple emergency blood withdraws, emergency MRI and CT Scans.... So finally after all this, on Thursday November 20th I was finally informed by my doctor that I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, or bone cancer, cancer in the bone marrow. At this stage the Doctors dont know what level the cancer is at...Im going to have bone marrow extraction on November 26th. This procedure will determine what stage/level the cancer is at. so once again to the community, my apologies for my poor showing with the end result and why I couldnt make my scheduled meetings and appointments with your families. In hindsight, if I knew of my illness I wouldnt have accepted nomination but there isnt a thing I wouldnt do for our community. I love our community and proud to say I am a very proud member of Ebb and Flow First Nation. Megwetch for your understanding and support.
