To the residents of the Mayo Fire District. There is a legal notice in this mornings Spartanburg Herald Journal that states, that during the November general election there will be questions on the ballot to vote for 3 commission seats and for the issuance of a bond. This is not correct and is a misprint by either the election board or the newspaper. There will be 3 Commission Board seats on the ballot but Mayo Fire District is not seeking a bond referendum on the ballot. We are contacting both the election board and the paper for this misprint to be retracted and the correct notice posted. We thank you for your support and wanted to make sure this mis-information was addressed and corrected so as not cause confusion to the voters of this district. We respect the support of our residents. Thank you Mayo Area Fire District.
