To the true heroes of combat, I pray that the Lord leads you to healing and that Americans recognize one day that though all who serve in the military may wear a similar uniform not all uniforms have had a similar experience. To those who serve I say be proud of your service and the part that you play but be honest about your service. Just because you served in the Gulf, Iraq, or Afghanistan does not mean you have seen the true face of war. Understand also that there are many who have not served in these publicly recognized theaters of combat who have experienced truer combat and the horror of PTSD but are not recognized because their story is classified and their record displays no ribbon for the service they performed for their country and its govt. This post is dedicated to those I know, to those whom I have served with, and to many I have the honor to call friend who bear scars that no medal or ribbon can make up for. God bless you all
