To the vendors of ACER products. Here is a true story that affects you as their vendor. I made the mistake of buying an ACER Aspire 722 after reading their reviews. Not realizing the reviews are usually good and only tell the pros & cons of the product. My netbook literally fell apart about 6 months later with the screen splitting and 2 pieces fell out. I emailed ACER with pictures with no response. After repeated attempts, I called ACER and was told to send in my computer (at my expense) for “evaluation”. This was my second red flag that they do not back their warranty and in my research, the evaluation will come back as CID (Customer Induced Damage) as I was the only person using the computer. An easy back door fix for ACER. As a consumer, my only other option is to show up at your store with my sales receipt, asking for a refund, thus transferring ACERS problems on you as their vendor. Most retail sales outlets honor the products they sell. This is completely unfair for ACER or their consumers or vendors. I will use Face Book as an example. All the FB pages do not allow any comments as many would be negative and on all pages, there are complaints about ACER customer service. (See for yourself) ACER does an excellent job of marketing their products, but you will never see one word about warranty, quality or customer service as there is none. I made the mistake of reading reviews and after searching “complaints” they are endless on ACER products. Now as a consumer, I look for complaints before I purchase any product as I have been screwed by ACER and Go Pro cameras. I also check Face Book to see if they allow “Like” & “comments” and if they do not, there is a reason why? You should do the same before selling any products and let their company’s consumers speak for their products. It will save you many headaches and better quality products for you. On a positive note, the best customer service that I have experienced is with Samsung and probably the reason why they are #1 in electronics. And they welcome “Comments” & “likes” on FB.
