To the young girl in the black truck who tried to run the stop sign this morning but was startled see a big yellow bus there....the yelling and cursing at me when I was the one who managed to stop in time to avoid hitting you, that was a great way to show your thanks for me possibly saving your life, or at the very least your Daddys truck. To the the man in the orange Jeep who DID run the stop sign this morning...the one only a block from a school, thank you for giving me the bird for all my students to see while I furiously applied the brakes, again to save a life.....yours. And finally, to the man in the work truck who would only stop for the stop sign attached to the side of my bus because I honked repeatedly and made it very clear that I was prepared to write down your license plate number, thank you for calling me a b**ch for doing my job of protecting the children in my charge. Really. Im just a school bus driver, so that means I have no feelings to be hurt at all. In all honesty, this was my morning folks. With so much tragedy in our town already this last few months, lets please....please do everything we can to avoid another. If you find yourself in a hurry during school busing hours take a moment to imagine how youd feel if you struck a child or if some one struck yours. Support us out there and report infractions you see, write or call to our local detachment, to politicians. Whatever you have to do to make sure our children are safe. Do it. Please
