To these grand-sounding so-called Dayak leaders, may I ask what you have been doing all these years for your people when they have been systematically marginalised politically, economically and socially? Isn’t it true that you have been part and parcel of the Umno led BN regime which has unrelentingly carried out such racial and religious discrimination? And isn’t it true that as a result of such discrimination as well as rampant corruption and ruthless plunder of the state’s resources by this regime that your people have suffered mass impoverishment and deprivation of equitable educational, economic and employment opportunities and basic infrastructure facilities? Your present call for Dayaks to be given their due recognition is no doubt noble, but how is it useful to your people when you continue to participate in this regime’s unjust and corrupt rule? If you are truly awakened, and are remorseful for having contributed to the sufferings of your people, you should know what you must do to really save your people from the current miseries.
