To those of you who are current, past, or pending service members of any branch of the military: thank you. Your decision deserves recognition. Right, wrong, or indifferent, the militarys decision on how to direct you is not the matter of importance. What is important is your bravery has driven you to place yourself among a myriad of people equally as brave, between a myriad of people who enjoy living their lives as they wish and another myriad of people who seek to change those lives in some way. This willing placement is a submission of your life to protect many others. It is unfortunate that such measures are necessary, but war is a seemingly inevitable device of civilization, and those brave enough to embrace it are doing so to be the defenders of a region. So again, thank you.
