To those that were unable to attend here is the scoop. *He plead guilty to 1st degree manslaughter *sentencing is set for February 24th @ 1 pm On the 2nd floor judge Bowden (dont know court room yet) * prior to sentencing anyone who would like to submit a victim impact statement may do so and the judge will read all of these prior to sentencing * the judge will also view the surveillance film prior to sentencing * anyone can address the judge during sentencing however you cannot read your statement -must be something different to say * the defendant and his family and friends also get to talk to judge if they choose * prosecuter is asking for 8 1/2 years however judge can sentence him longer up to life. The more statements the better chance of this happening * All these statements will be kept in defendants record and could be brought up against him should he commit a similar crime Please if you cannot attend please consider writing a statement. I can email you the template if you give me your email address. Thank you to all who came and showed support it was greatly appreciated!
