They said that traits of narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) were present, yet it was a strongly malignant form of narcissism, not a typical NPD. (Also this is NOT a diagnosis.) Malignant narcissism is comprised of an extreme mix of narcissism, antisocial personality disorder, and aggression and sadism. Malignant narcissism is a syndrome first proposed as a psychiatric diagnosis in 1984 by Otto Kernberg. So far it has not been accepted in any of the medical manuals, such as DSM-5.
