To whom it may concern; First, let me start by saying congrats for getting it HALF right with the penalties. I do not agree with Gordon being left out of the Chase. Before MWR starting their show, both Newman and Gordon were clearly in the Chase. So, why was Gordon left out. Secondly, if there was cheating by the MWR team as Nascar has attempted to address, why did Bowyer get docked 50 driver points for the first 26 races. He should have been docked these points in the Chase or the next 10 races. Why only a $300,000 fine for the MWR team? The penalty should be more like $900,000. Why did the crew chiefs only get probation? Why not suspensions? Heck, Nascar is afraid to address the Edwards jumping the gun on the restart issue at Richmond. Again, Nascar only addresses the issues they want to address. Just ask Johnson or other drivers who have been hammered by Nascar. MWR cheated and now Nascar is trying to address the issue, but failed to address the complete issue. Only part of it. No wonder Nascar cannot fill the stands at their events. Nascar was at one time on top of the racing world. Not anymore. I personally will not give any of your sponsors money out of my pocket, never attend another Nascar event or even watch the Nascar event on TV. Bottom line, there was been many documented cases of cheating in many professional sports. NFL, MLB, etc. Now Nascar… Unbelievable. Just when I thought Nascar would get it right, they only did a half ass job. No Accredibility Sorry Cheating Ass Racing…which now stands for NASCAR. Based on your decision, Nascar will lose many fans and potentially sponsorships due to the lack of LEADERSHIP in your organization. It will take your organization many years to recover from the fallout of your decision/actions. Good luck in the future with your sport. You will definitely need it.
