To whom it may concern, Mayor and council alike, I would like to set forth a simple challenge. I know that you have your ongoing issues with the current state of health care, and the housing shortages here in weyburn, but there is another issue that plagues your great city. I have moved home recently to take care of a parent, and what I have witnessed is sad and appalling, never mind the fact that she has no doctor, cause many have that issue and i understand you are working to remedy that, but and here in lies my challenge to you all. My mother can not walk and relies on a wheel chair or scooter to go every where. I challenge each and every one of you to spend one day trying to get around this city of yours in a wheel chair or scooter. Try going from the hospital to the downtown area to a doctors office, or even to your mall. And when you can’t use the sidewalk and have to go out onto the road in your wheelchair or scooter, getting cursed at by drivers, maybe then you will take notice of the disgraceful state of your sidewalks for the use of people with disabilities. I hope you except this challenge so that you can truly experience what it is like to live in weyburn with a disability. That’s my two cent. Alexandra Spence
