Toady has been another sensational day! We took the ferry from Hong Kong & headed to Macau. Basically it is the gambling capital of the world. It does 10 times the revenue that Vegas does & today we quickly saw why! Thousands & thousands of people from all over the world, mainly Asia, flock here to flutter away their lives! It is also easy to see how this place makes so much money with the smallest bet on 95% of the games being around £25! So if you want to play 4 hands of black jack its going to cost you £100! Its crazy! Baccarat is the main game with a game called Sic Bo a close second. The casino floors are covered with these tables & every seat is full! The colonial district however is beautiful with many old buildings & superb museums keeping the islands past well & truly alive. However the casinos were fun of the day & after getting bored of watching people loose their money followed by them scar thing their beds in disbelief we decided to try our luck. The only game we could afford to play was the wheel of fortune which was £2 a go a spin. We doubled our money from £8 to £16, cashed out & headed for the exit still feeling poor! A wise man once said, I would rather own little & see the world, than own the world & see little of it. Hong Kong City tomorrow :)
