Today - Hamilton at the Rauawaawa Kaumatua Charitable Trust Forum, 50 Colombo St, Franklin. Great opportunity to explain our policies, and answering questions from the audience. One member of the Maori party tried to attack me on our party stance of immigration, saying that NZ Firsts anti-immigration should be explained but he raised overstayers as a result. This was a gift in which I took full advantage in pointing out our clear support for immigrants that we (NZ) need, not those who need NZ. As for overstayers, Maori party is part of a government responsible for allowing such an increase in this area, not NZ First. And I know, the Maori man was asking a question in reference to Pasefika people. I said a lot more to fully explain not only the positive intentions behind NZ Firsts policy/policies, but also to educate the middle-aged man of his prejudices. The audience thoroughly enjoyed my response, and I almost felt sorry for the man, who supported a white woman as their Maori candidate. I hope he would give us his party vote..... Party vote New Zealand First. Its Common Sense.
