Today (13th June) the Townsville City Lions President Jonny, Secretary Maurie and life member Geoff Holman ventured to the Barras Junior AFL Club with 10 kilos of sausages from A MAYS INN MEATS and cooked the kids a barbeque after their training. A great gesture in the junior - senior club relations. The Barras like the Lions are building new clubs in AFL Townsville. The Barras are based at the St Anthony’s high school with very basic facilities. Earlier this year Lachlan Ireland and Michael Mc Gee ventured out there and assisting with training.
