Today, 1st January 2015, I have been reflecting on the past 2 - TopicsExpress

Today, 1st January 2015, I have been reflecting on the past 2 amazing years at ESA since our beautiful, sustainable sanctuary was built and opened her doors to visitors from across the globe in October 2012. ESA has already become established as a blueprint example (followed in other parts of the world) of sustainability in action. ESA is a unique blend of elegant, fun, educational and emotionally fulfilling sustainability, which draws on the positive energies of an ancient Cretan olive grove on the doorstep of a small and thriving hill top Cretan community. We are being asked continually to write/ record/ film the story of the genesis of ESA as a sustainable enterprise and to describe the holistic narrative of how an international training academy has been accepted by a rural Cretan village. In 2015, through the WISE initiative, at ESA we will help 20 Greek women take their social enterprise vision to a reality. I am certain that a strong vision combined with the capacity for harnessing personal inner strength and personal resilience to bring that vision to reality are an essential basis for creating any positive change in the world. More than that, over the past 2 years I have had first-hand experience of the importance of being surrounded by the right people who understand, share and value that same vision. As I forward-cast to the next 2 years of ESA and beyond, I feel more positive and uplifted than before. So much so that my feet feel as if they are lifting from the ground. This is mostly because I feel confident that people who are working with me in 2015 (employees, subcontractors and supporters) are those right people. In my capacity as founder of ESA, I would like to take this New Year opportunity to THANK, from every cell of my being, those RIGHT people who have believed in the creation of ESA at times when I was not sure. People who have stood firmly by my side. People who have been resolutely loyal and reliable when others have not. People who have shown me kindness and love when it was most needed. You are all people who will remain part of the fabric of ESA for as long as you want to. This is the year that our positive impact will be felt by so many more people. THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING PART OF IT. Sharon
