Today 26th December, 2014 marks a catastrophic tragedy when 10 years ago a gigantic tsunami hit Acheh, Indobesia n other countries within the Ibdian Ocean n Andaman Sea! More than 250,000 Indobesian lives were lost in an instant! 50,000 lives more were also lost involving Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Maldives, East Africa, Thailand n Malaysia! Malaysia lost more than 60 lives from Penang Island, Perak n Selangor. Today Malaysia suffers another kind of Tsunami when 10 states are submerged in floods affecting more than 60,000 victims who are now languishing in Flood Relief Centres all over the country! Some areas are so badly affected that the Federal n State Authorities have to mobilize the Security Forces to rescue the flood victims who are unreachable by roads! So the Air Forces helicopters have to be used to rescue flood victims n also to transport food, water n equipments to the Relief Centres! Mosques all over the country have organized special prayers for the Tsunami victims of 2004 n also for the present Flood Victims n pray for divine intervention for the floods to improve so that the victims can return homes! The schools will reopen on 2nd January, 2015 n most of the students involved have lost their school books n uniforms in the floods! The Federal Government has promised to donate RM 50 Million for flood relief assistance. Lets pray for the victims survival n hope that their sufferings will soon be over. Amin.
