Electrical and Electronic Equipment Waste Recycling Bill 2013 (SB.398). Sponsor- Sen. Olufemi Lanlehin. iv. Mental Health Bill 2013 (SB.399). Sponsor - Sen. Paulinus Nwagu. v. Institute of Local Government and Public Administration (est.etc) Bill 2013 (HB.17). Sponsor - Sen. Victor Ndoma Egba.vi. Standard Organisation of Nigeria Act (Repeal and Re-enactment) Bill 2013. Also laid were the two reports of the Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public petitions on the Wrongful termination of Mr. E. O Agbos appointment by the Nigerian Customs Service and the Wrongful termination and dismissal of Mr. Alaowei Jumbo as General Manager in the Petroleum Equalization Fund Management Board. The Senate sitting in the Committee of the whole considered and approved the report of the INEC Committees screening of Professor Akinola Muritala Salau for appointment as a National Electoral Commissioner. His appointment was thereby confirmed.The Senate also considered the report of the Joint Committees on its investigation into the Abuja Apo Killings and resolved amongst others that the killing was not an extrajudicial killing but rather the outcome of a hastily executed operation. Other items on the other paper were stood down to another legislative date.
