Today 28th august marks the 60th anniversary of Chhatra Parishad.It was formed by late. Dr Bidhan Ch. Roy,former CM and best known as the " PIONEER OF BENGAL" on this day back in 1953.Since its inception as a student wing of the Indian National Congress it has been part of several student movements which rocked the streets of West Bengal." STUDENTS RIGHT FIRST" was the motto and true are the words for which several CP workers laid down their lives and achieved martyrdom for their supreme sacrifice for student wellbeing.Not only education system CP has played an imporatant role in the uplifment of society by participating in social welfare programmes of the Central Government for women and childrens.Beside our three ideologies of Advancement of learning,Corporate Life nd Patriotism one more exists which is Respect for women and this embedded in the minds of each CP worker from the very first day. It has been a honour and privilege for me to serve this organisation and eventually serve the students.Hope to have worked with dedication and integrity for student well being.
