Today 30/09/2014 ISMers received a call asking to return to the house where the wall was being built as two settlers from a near by illegal settlement had removed some poles from the ground where the wall was to be built.Shortly after four more settlers turned up along with eight Israeli soldiers and an Israeli police officer. Israeli forces told the Palestinians and internationals to stop work on the wall for today despite them having been issued a building permit from the Israeli civil administration. Palestinians have the documents to prove that this is their land and have permission to build. International Solidarity Movement has assisted in the building of a wall near the youth against settlement house in the olive orchard at the top of Tel Rumeida. The wall is being built to keep settlers out of private Palestinian land, settlers have burnt olive trees up there and have picnics they have also lit a fire inside a Muslim grave in the olive orchards. Settlers from the nearby illegal settlement have continued to trespass and argue over the ownership of the land.
