Today 8th August 2014 at Wanjohi Primary School during the prize-giving day of the school. This is one of the largest school in our constituency. It has been performing poorly and need all the assistance we can give. That the school has potential there is no doubt as it had produced the 2nd top 2014 KCPE candidate in the constituency with 400 marks. Further, recently on learning that less than 10 pupils had attained 300 marks in the entire school in the 2013 3rd term exam I promised to sponsor those getting 300+ in the 1st term exam for a Nairobi tour. Believe it or not 70 pupils got the marks in the 1st term and I had to drastically revise my budget to sponsor the 70. Today more than 100 pupils had more than 300 marks in this terms exam. I request the old pupils of the school to go back and motivate the current generation of pupils especially those from the village who rarely meet suitable role models. From this financial year CDF will build more classrooms to relieve the existing congestion.
