Today, Ace and I revisited some trail obstacle items that we hadnt worked on in a while…it was good to refresh our memory on the log drag and the slicker, and the shooting in the beginning can technically be considered a trail obstacle since hunting season has officially begun here in CO ;) He was very calm with everything, we just had to work a little on being able to easily trot out with the slicker and the log, Ace wasnt sure at first that trotting with those things was possible. But he figured out that it was. I dont have the right firearm to do official mounted shooting (with the balloons and all), but based on Aces response to being shot off of, I think hed be a GREAT mounted shooting horse. This was my third time shooting on him, and he acted just like this the very first time, pretty much zero reaction…maybe its time for me to buy a set of .45s!
