Today, August 1st, marks the beginning of a new chapter in the life of the one and only. As I wake up this morning, I am not a personal trainer. I am not a bartender. I am not an entrepreneur. I am not a superhero. Im not even a party specialist (I love these titles Ive been given btw... epic lol). As I wake up with my gimp foot over the top of my couch, I am Nelson. Im a regular guy, with regular goals, about to embark on an adventure I didnt even think would happen. In less than two weeks (for those few that dont know as I havent shut up about this since December), I take off for a solo backpacking trip across Europe to... Im not gonna say find myself, cuz I know exactly who I am... but to recharge the batteries after the last four years of sacrificing a lot of important things in my life to reach my last goal, after the last 7 years of doing what I love and excelling at it, and after the last 11 years commuting to the same place every day (including many a weekend) to be the best I could be. I dont know how long Ill be gone for, so please dont as again. All I do know is that when I come back, I will be the best youve ever seen me, personally and professionally. Any inadequacies you may have seen in me as of late will be rectified, and yes, as you all know, I will come back to take over the worl- no, the known universe (why not set the bar even higher).
