Today Blake had a follow up with his other ENT. We talked about his airway and what she saw on his EGD and scope. We know that he has subglottic stenosis, laryngomalacia and paralyzed vocal cord. I was really hoping they had a solution for the laryngomalacia but with Blake nothing comes easy and I wouldnt have him any other way. Most cases of LM is just some extra tissue that collapses and that extra tissue can be removed and that fixes it well Blakes is collapsing at the arytenoids and its the whole thing collapsing not just extra tissue. There is only one way to fix this and that is by inserting a Trach. She is hoping as he grows it will get better but if not he will need a trach. Please pray with me that it improves and he will not need any kind of surgery. Tomorrow he has a follow up with ophthalmology and Friday a sedated mri. Another busy couple of days but we can handle it!!
