Today (Day20) was another new experience pertaining to food. I wanted to prepare NY Strip Steak for John & I for lunch and use the left over salads from yesterday. The steaks were not super lean (lightly marbled and a strip of fat running along one side, which we removed before eating). Each weighed aprox 10 oz . I did not marinate, added a wee bit of S & P, fired up the grill and prepared them to rare. Cut each one in half and served it with a 1/2 cup corn salad and a 1/2 cup chicken salad ( left from yesterday). I saved the second half of each steak and tonight for dinner, sliced it very thing and served it over a medium sized green salad, NICE !!! John is having a hard time getting used to eating things is smaller portions ! To me, this seemed like a good idea !!!
