Today, I: 1. Am exhausted... 2. Successfully completed conducting two run-throughs of SOUTH PACIFIC with a lovely cast, staff, and director, and a VERY talented pianist John Morrison), who I am SO LUCKY to have playing for me, even though he had to leave me for the majority of the second run-through so he could go play some other show or something...(slacker...) 3. Got to coach (and re-coach) a girl (12) and a boy (8) on French pronunciation... 4. Got to privately and gently inform the boy (8) about certain rehearsal etiquette involving electing not to fart loudly, and longly, and TWICE, during a notes session with the entire cast present... 5. Had to buy another conducting baton, because I forgot mine in Jersey, and was amazed that there was a nearby store that SELLS them! 6. Am looking forward to tomorrows first (and last!) orchestra-only rehearsal... 7. Broke my diet for pizza and beer, and it was SO worth it... 8. Listened to a TON of Garth Brooks in the car and STILL think hes amazing... 9. Miss my loves, but am looking forward to seeing them in just a few weeks...
