Today I Walked Away From a Khutbah I have never done this before. I have heard many a khutbah in which statements were made that I did not agree with, but I stayed. Today, at Maryam Masjid, it was too much. Am I the only one who considers these two statement BEYOND wrong? 1. Hadith are the beginning of your Islam. 2. If any hadith comes to you you MUST accept it if you are a Muslim. Brothers and sisters, MY ISLAM begins with belief in and submission to Allah as the One and Only Creator. I MUST accept the ONE book Allah has given His promise of protection: The Quran. Allah is the center of my deen. If that offends anyone, so be it. And, as always Allahu Alam
