Today, I also lost a dear sweet, friend and sister of God. She was a Pastor, ran the local Senior Citizens Center and was actively involved in the community. Growing up she was active in the Lamesa Boys Club as a director and all the kids my age or close to ...she ALWAYS kept us in line and had an impact on our lives....As I grew older Cora and I developed sort of a mother-son relationship. She lost her son Jeff, and although I could never replace him...I would keep tabs on her on those days like Mothers Day ....etc....She even helped me with winning my election to city council. Cora was definitely one in a billion, only God above could have sent such a special lady to Lamesa and accomplish all she did in her time....I will always have an empty spot that she left, however I know the angels are rejoicing to no end for her tireless work preaching and sharing the word of God....I love you Cora Brown....and we will see you soon....Prayers to this family......
