Today I am announcing my bid for the provincial Liberal nomination for the District of Burin Placentia West. This announcement will not come as a surprise to many, as you know of my long involvement in politics and how proud I am to call the Burin Peninsula home. I have never hesitated to step up in my community or speak out on issues that matter. From my past work in MP Judy Foote’s office, I fully understand how government actually works and I know that my first priority must be to put constituents first. Through my long involvement with the Liberal Party, in positions such as Chair of the Economic and Resource Development Policy Working Group, I have had the extensive exposure to provincial issues required to be an effective representative. We need a representative who understands how government works and somebody who listens and cares. If successful, I pledge to you to work hard and be straightforward in my work. I am also pleased to announce today that my team of supporters will be led by former MHA Mary Hodder, who has agreed to chair my campaign. I am asking for your support!
