Today I am humbled by the Hand of God. A believing man of many years was laid to rest. Someone I have never seen or have ever met. yet because of his funeral today I am reminded of the loving care that God extends to us all even though we are not able to see it for ourselves. Back in May of this year my wife graduated from seminar. She had her children and I at her side along with other family and a number of friends. The only thing missing was anyone from her side of her family. This had hurt her for sometime but this morning she was reminded of what God has called her to be. Standing a a steps tool she conducted the funeral for this man whom she had been supporting in the hospice where she works. When she had finished she called me and thanked me for my support as she grows in her identity as a chaplain. She told me that through the Holy Spirit she had been inspired and lead through the whole service from scripture, speaking, singing and supporting the family. She has found a deeper peace, comfort, and knowledge following her God than anyone else could ever give her. I praise the Lord for her.
