Today I am remembering an early morning phone call from my brother in law Andy Monfried. Dan Monfried and I were newlyweds living in San Francisco. He told us to turn on the television-what we witnessed over the next few hours was horrifying and heartbreaking to say the least. We lost dear friends that day. My daughter is a 9/11 baby. The hospitals were flooded with deliveries the week she was born because so many couples clung to each other just like Dan and me, hoping we were wrong. That we werent under attack. That it was all a mistake. That our friend Rick was lost but alive. I think of those killed on 9/11 today as I look at my precious daughter. Out of that tragedy came something beautiful. But not for a moment do I forget. So I ask all of my FB friends to take a moment and hold your loved ones a little longer and a little tighter and remember...NEVER AGAIN. Our country is at a crossroads. We have enemies and we need to fight. Vote, post, blog, scream-but dont rely on the other guy to fix it. Its our country and our responsibility. 9/11 was just the beginning. So please join me in promising our children a better tomorrow. RIP Rick Thorpe, Tommy Collins and all those that perished on 9/11.
