Today I am thankful for my family, friends and the fact that Im still alive to enjoy another Thanksgiving in the company of the people whom I missed enjoying many years of holidays traditions with. I do miss my friends who are far away from home serving our country also. You my extended family, are some of the greatest people that anyone could be so blessed to ever have the opportunity to get to know. Ours is a kinship that only immediate family would ever be able to understand. Youre never too far from my mind or my heart. I feel guilty at times because Im retired these days while many of you are still out there so far away from your loving family and friends but we all know that its only for a while. I thank you for your many sacrifices and all of your hard work keeping our nation free and safe from harm. I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. I salute you and God bless.
