Today I attended the Ardenne Prefects Association Leadership Seminar and I must say it was a blast. I learned so much from the Guest Presenter Mrs. Griffiths (Director of Public, Corporate and Government Affairs, Scotiabank..). She Presented on the topic : CREATE!! I walked away with Valuable Points on being a Leader! : 1. Focus is needed 2. Everything you have to say is important! 3. In your own sphere you ARE influential and ought to support the good that IS 4. Be committed in doing it (whatever it is), seeing it move from failure to success. 5. There is NO space for complaining as leaders because we CREATE. 6.Followers see the problem, Leaders see solutions 7.Mistakes, they are ALL learning opportunities 8.Leaders Inspire other leaders. 9.Your Creations should have PEOPLE in mind! 10. Even if youre the only one, stand up for the cause! 11. Every Situation Molds you for your destiny, learn from them. 12. What really matters is how people value your contribution. 13. Leaders MUST have strategy 14. Share your vision! Sell Your Vision 15. Be prepared to gain more responsibilities 16. There are NO boundaries to you! 17. Gain the support and harness the expertise of others to develop your CREATION 18. Never deny an opportunity for growth and development! 19. Be prepared to make tough decisions. 20. If positions and accolades are stripped you should still be seen as a Leader 21. Be outstanding! Outstanding People will be drawn to you! 22. CCCCRRRREEEEAAATTTTEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
