Today I celebrate another birthday today I turn 5 for those that know in in recovery it has been a very challenging five year and threw one day at a time I have been able to face each obstacle or hurdle that came my way I could not of done this alone and I want to thank my higher power and my family and friends there are so many of you that have been there and supported me you all know who you are there is one I want to thank I really wish I would have had the opportunity to have told you before you passed just a few days ago my sponsor Adena Stuemke I never got to tell you what you meant to me and how you impacted my life and helped me not go back down that dark road our last talk we had you got to tell me how proud you were of me and everything I wanted to say to you I wanted to say in person and cant do that now you were an angel sent to me I was blessed to have you in my life as a sponsor then developed into a friendship but I really want to thank you for making me do my step work and calling me out on my stuff that I didnt want to see and argued about with you thank you for answering your phone and calling me back even when I would hang up on you if I was not wanting to hear what you were saying especially when it came to looking at myself thank you for being there for me even when you were sick I believe what you said about death and life and how people will die in order for another to live I get it you live and you continue to learn I love you Adena I will forever miss you your still with me even on this day in my heart you will remain. Higher power take my will and my life guide me in my recovery and show me how to live just for today thank you everyone God bless and I pray for all those that have passed and all those still suffering that they may find there way.
