Today, I celebrate my dear friend and first tribal teacher, - TopicsExpress

Today, I celebrate my dear friend and first tribal teacher, Rachel-Ginger Lazarusl. Our paths crossed way back in 2004, when she relocated here from up North and I had been unsuccessfully looking for a tribal teacher, anywhere, near me. She started teaching an hours drive away from me, but with traffic, became almost 2 hours one way! Didnt matter. I was in heaven! She was perfect for me and I embarked on a journey I shall never forget. She has taught me so much, in and out of the classroom, on and offstage, life lessons that still resonate with me. I was always so blinded by not only her beauty but her grace, strength & elegance in the dance and in life. We have shared laughter, tears, the stage, and lots and lots of her amazing chai tea! She recently posted on her blog her retirement from the dance and the lessons learned in her journey. At first, my heart was broken, to silence such a talent but then that is her way, as always, to always be her authentic self and follow her voice. Illuminating and profound. I will still wish and hope that we will dance together once again. Until that day my cherished friend, I love you more than words can say, thank you for everything and for always being there for me. I am truly blessed to have you as my teacher but even more blessed to have you as my friend.
