Today I decided would be a full work day! Paperwork as usual that - TopicsExpress

Today I decided would be a full work day! Paperwork as usual that had piled up, clothes clothes clothes but the one thing I really wanted to take care of was moving a few horses from place to place. Ive been keeping my trailer hooked up for those spur of the moment lets go somewhere times! I caught my first 2 horses, one always eager to go the other would rather just be feed and left alone. Loaded them up and off we go. Such a nice morning to be out and about! Got to my destination, unloaded one horse, caught another and proceeded to load her. Much to my surprise it only took about 3 minutes to load her! Out with another into the pasture and I caught my big ole SugarBaby. Just a rope around her neck, open the door and up she goes. Such a good old girl! Off we go back to my house and on the dirt road we have to travel to and fro, there is a little old house where an elderly man is usually sitting on his front porch. He always waves and I return the gesture. This morning as I come to this point, there is a truck in the way of my passing. My first thought was Oh great! How am I going to get around that! (Im not good at backing yet) I sit there for what seems forever, nabbed on a little lip balm, slathered up my hands with lotion, drank a little water and watched as a man toted many, I mean many bags of groceries up to this little mans house. Back and forth to his truck. He brought the last bag to the man and as the little man put down the bag he stood up, took the younger man by the hand and I could tell just by the way they looked and the way they shook each others hand, I was witness to a true act of kindness. I dont know whether the old gent had paid for the groceries and the younger one had just went and picked them up. That doesnt really matter. That young man took time from his day to do a kind deed for one of our elders. The younger man drove past me, we exchanged a wave and a smile. It was plan to see this man was headed to his hunting land. I had not gotten frustrated one bit! I went on to finish my duties, loading up another horse, taking it back to the pasture and even getting another one to bring home. He too was not fond of loading in a trailer. Even more to my surprise was how Rowdy walked straight up to that trailer, put his feet right in and up he went! I forget to be thankful for the little things in life. Watching those two gentlemen made my morning! Maybe thats why everything else just fell into place. Hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed day!
