Today I did a presentation to Health Canada employees on behalf of HealthPartners and the Canadian Liver Foundation Manitoba Chapter. This was the first time I was actually told to use my story as part of the presentation to convince others to give back. Its funny because I wrote out what I was going to say and practiced it over and over again. Turns out, I didnt look at the paper once! As I went on to tell my story, about what happened and how I used that to fuel a passion with my career I looked out on the crowd of people and saw tears. By the end of it all, they were standing to applaud me and had tears rolling down their faces. But at the same time, just the biggest smiles! I know I say this all the time, and I am gonna say it again. I LOVE MY JOB!!!! I am the luckiest woman in the world.
