Today I did some dead simple microsoft administration tech support. The actual MS admin at the office wouldnt touch it. We all have our limits. The day before I went on a swearing spree when I realized that a client that dropped us was calling us to fix an environment they broke after they dropped us. I was angry because so many things had to go wrong in so many places before I even saw the issue. So many people who were right had to be ignored or told they were wrong before I even saw the issue. I find that systems administrators have a difficult time being compassionate. In large part because they are routinely ignored or undermined by people who lack the expertise to make intelligent decisions. I also think its a core personality thing.
