Today I drove into my work on a day off and witnessed a man, - TopicsExpress

Today I drove into my work on a day off and witnessed a man, obviously a veteran by his age, walking up to the memorial across from the Division headquarters. He walked to within about 20 feet of the statue and with much difficulty knelt. This is a respect that is not readily displayed throughout our country. Mostly within our military do we kneel before each other in respect for deeds done. Within our military is there a common honor. A respect amongst our peers. Why is it that the general public can not show each other a small symbol of that respect? I weep for people that do not know this kind of respect.
