Today, I enjoyed the fact that it was Autumn. I know.....but I truly did, honest! I was at the Farm with Momma. It was warm, a tiny breeze about us and yet quiet enough to hear the leaves falling. Autumn at the Farm is full of childhood memories for this daughter. The scent of hedge apples, black walnuts and the cattle across the road comprise some of my earliest memories. Yes, the scent of cattle CAN be a good thing. Maybe its because my Autumns with the one who knew me first are naturally dwindling, as ever our Life Seasons do. Maybe its because Im technically headed into my own season of Autumn. Maybe..... Whatever the reasons.....I may not appreciate Summers end and Autumn center stage tomorrow, but Today, I relished it for all it had to offer.
