Today I experienced a beautiful moment in life. As Im driving down the road this evening, the sudden need to look at my daughters eyes rocked my heart. As I adjust the rear view mirror and grab her attention with a smile she replies with a question: whats wrong dad? Lolo... and so it starts: a profound and genuine declaration of love. After a few minutes of words, looks and smiles I noticed her eyes. They flooded with tears but yet seemed so calm as the surface of a lake in the early mornings. Not one wake. Not one tremble. Her cheeks were the epiphany of life torn between a smile and a cry. She didnt know what to do... She didnt know what to say. As she extends her hands and gently asks for my mine in return, her tears finally break free. Rolling down her cheeks in perfect synchronization with her tight hand squeeze, they come in pairs. As they dropped to her lap... a sudden but truthful voice came from that little seven year old: I am so blessed to call you my daddy! So am I LoLo... So am I!
