Today I experienced one of the most profound, prophetic, and powerful afternoons of my life. I was privileged to volunteer at a very strict Orthodox Jewish soup kitchen here in Jerusalem. For about three hours I worked side by side with four Orthodox Jewish brothers. We sliced vegetables, cut meat, and prepared food for this upcoming Shabbat. We even tried to teach each other our languages. After we were done I tasted some of the food we had prepared, and I promise it is one the most treasured meals of my life. Before we left the head chef began to just speak and prophesy over me. There truly are not human words to describe the priceless of this time. This was Jewish-Christian relations in action and it was the merging of two peoples in a way that could only be seen as supernatural. It is a memory and a place I will cherish for the rest of my life. I will never be the same. Profoundly grateful.
