Today I experienced one of those rare moments when I am actually ashamed to be associated with the spiritual and/or metaphysical community. I just had to educate a colleague with a Phd, who describes herself as someone who works from the heart center that is is not okay to use other peoples published work as your own. I had to explain to her that publishing an article written by someone else, without their consent and with no reference to its author or original source, is not only unethical...it amounts to nothing less that fraud, and theft. The infringing party has now removed my property from her website and has hopefully learned a valuable lesson. One question, however, still remains: how does one complete a dissertation to obtain a Phd degree without knowing that you have to cite and reference all your sources? Just asking.
