Today I feel more excited about my future than I have felt about anything in a long, long, time. First I had an appointment with a lovely shop in Louisville where I took up samples of artwork, jewelry, and textiles and she loved everything, so Thursday I am going to head back up to set up my featured artist display. The rush is because she is recording a commercial next Monday that will run on a local channel during high traffic viewing hours and she wanted to make sure that my stuff was included. SCORE, YO. Then I headed off to have a great lunch planning some future events and wedding shows at a little downtown deli with my awesome friend Holly, and after we went to set up a wholesale account because our calendar for spring, summer, and fall weddings is filling up alarmingly fast around the already busy season of art shows that I will be doing. On top of that, my family is all healthy and doing well themselves with Jim being as encouraging and supportive as ever. I honestly feel like Im on top of the world happy. Ive worked so hard to get here, and I never would have been able to conduct a day like this with all of the driving and talking to strangers even just a year ago. Anxiety and depression are real, and I still deal with that daily, but I will keep fighting them. Right now, though, Im feeling blessed as I enjoy this peaceful calm in the storm of life. It might get crazy and busy, but you know what, every obstacle and struggle that Ive overcome in life lately has been intensely worth it. So. BRING IT 2015. Im going to turn 35 this year, and Im not going to sit around waiting for things to happen to me or for me anymore. Im going to go out there and obliterate it.
