Today I felt overwhelmed. And sad. And frustrated. And I know Im not the only one. I am lucky to know some amazing people who have dedicated their lives to saving others. And yet, all the hard work we do, and theres still millions out there who arent as lucky as the dogs we can save. That hurts. Then I realized that two of my fosters have adopters and are awaiting transport to their new homes. Three more have potential adopters. One more has potential rescue in Colorado. And even though today I have felt more discouraged than usual, I remember that these six dogs were once part of that group who didnt have someone like me. I may not be saving the world, but Im saving who I can, and that means the world to them.
