Today I filed to run for the Wake County Soil and Water - TopicsExpress

Today I filed to run for the Wake County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors. This board is in charge of distributing funds from the federal, state and county government to help with different conservation projects around the county, as well other activities such as coordinating volunteer conservation initiatives and education. In the history of the Board there has never once been a Republican member. At the board meeting that I attended and the many others that I have read minutes from I have not found one instance in which there was either a divided vote or in which the board disagreed with the recommendations of the staff. As a conservative I pledge that I when elected I will work to conserve our countys traditional agricultural way of life, conserve our natural resources, conserve our small businesses by advocating for less burdensome regulations being placed on them, and conserving our countys financial resources by not overspending. I will need your help and support as I campaign for the next four months, both through your financial contributions, volunteer hours, and letting your friends, family, and neighbors know about my candidacy. This is a non-partisan office and as such party affiliation will not be listed on the ballot, so we need to reach out to each voter individually to let them know about my candidacy. Because this will be a race that most people will not vote in, that makes every vote that much more crucial. I also ask for your prayers and support. I submitted my resignation as Vice Chairman of the 13th Congressional District tonight to NCGOP Chairman Claude Pope. I will continue in my role as President of the Northern Wake Republican Club. Please share this status.
