Today I finally ventured out into the world after injuring my ankle. I road around Walmart in one of the scooters. This past week not being able to walk and today being the object of staring people has given me just a glance into Savhannas life. I had a hard time waiting on people to do things for me and was frustrated all week because I couldnt do the things I wanted to do. Our Savhanna does this day in and day out. She handles it with such grace and most of the time has an outgoing and positive attitude. As hard as this has been, I am thankful to have been made to slow down and reflect on some things. Each time the Lord allows something to break down in my life He turns it out for the good. I may not think so at the time. Looking back at some of the major setbacks I have encountered in life, I can really see how God was working in my life to put me in a better place. The lessons I have learned through hardship are the ones that stick. In the midst of the storms of life God has been my beacon. I have made it through enough storms to trust Him. That is the peace that surpasses all understanding. I get down as we all do. I dont stay there long, He rescues me. Have I instilled this in my children? I sure hope so. : )
