Today I found out that our community mosque was vandalized with hate speech. Its a real shock and just sad and heart breaking. I wish the people who did this knew what actually happens inside. Manassas Mosque has a huge focus on unity and there are always so many inter-faith sessions in our mosque and an incredibly welcoming atmosphere to anyone and everyone. The mosque has people from all backgrounds and walks of life. I was blessed to be home during Ramadan and was able to come to Manassas Mosque almost nightly during Ramadan and together we would all break our fast and every day we would have a wide variety of multi-national dishes representing the diversity of our community. We pray for the people that did this, that they actually get to experience the love inside the walls they vandalized and open their minds and hearts and soon realize what Islam actually is. You may hate us, but we still love you and pray for you and THAT is this beautiful religion of Islam that you are so ignorant of.
